Testimonial: Tailored to My Unique Needs and Aspirations

I had the pleasure of working with Di during the college application process, and I cannot recommend their guidance enough. Her approach was small, personalized, and tailored to my unique needs and aspirations. Di took the time to understand my strengths, goals, and concerns, making me feel supported every step of the way. We thoroughly reviewed every college on my list, and she thoughtfully suggested additional options that aligned with my preferences. She had regular check-ins throughout the application process and well into my college career! If you are looking for a warm, thoughtful, and professional college counselor, look no further!

Testimonial: I was in the Driver’s Seat

From the beginning of my college journey, I knew I could trust Di 100%. She was kind, sincere and talked to me about college, not to my parents. She treated me like a young adult and made me feel like I was in the driver’s seat, which was really important to me.

We’d meet over Zoom on a regular basis to talk about what I enjoyed doing, whether it be volunteering, dancing, or learning more about the medical profession, since I had dreamed of becoming a doctor from the age of 7. She also asked me about homework load, group project dynamics and my study habits. She really got to know what type of student I was and what things mattered to me most. She talked to me about my personal statement and helped me formulate that essay. She reviewed it and gave me helpful feedback to improve it, while still making sure it was written in my voice.

After really getting to know me, she encouraged me to apply early decision to the school that was at the top of my interest list. Looking back, I am so grateful that she urged me to do this – the college has felt like home to me from the day I moved in. I’m entering my Junior year now, majoring in Molecular Biology and Spanish, and I couldn’t be happier. I am really grateful to Di Tran for helping me through the college application process!

Testimonial: Optimism Instead of Pressure

We highly recommend Di and are so grateful she joined our daughter’s college application team! From the very first meeting, Di put our daughter in the driver’s seat (and us in the back), she took the intimidation factor out of the process and helped us all navigate the journey. Di is joyful and brings optimism instead of pressure to this exciting time in a young person’s life. She’s an incredible listener, quickly recognized our daughter’s strengths, and helped her highlight her authentic self in the college essay. Di is very knowledgeable about schools nation-wide and had excellent recommendations of colleges for her to explore. Together, they developed a healthy list of target schools. Come spring, our daughter was in the lucky position of having several competitive schools to choose from. She felt torn and reached out to Di to hash it out. She came out of the conversation feeling confident about her choice.

Testimonial: Finding her Home Away from Home

As a parent, the college application process can be pretty nerve-wracking. We all just want to see our kids succeed, and the thought of watching them be rejected can be terrifying. You can find many people who are qualified “on paper” to help your child through college applications, but Di Tran really knows how to help your child find success.

From the outset, she takes the time to get to know your child – their goals, likes and dislikes, personality traits and work style. She doesn’t just look at grades, test scores and extra curriculars, but learns who your child is, so that she can help them find the type of environment that will be the best fit, where he or she will thrive.

Di helped my daughter through the application process. My daughter decided to apply early decision to Wake Forest, her top choice school, and she was accepted. She is now in her Junior year there, and absolutely LOVES it. Di helped her find the school that was the perfect fit – where she felt at home from the moment she stepped onto campus. And the reason she was able to do this is because she took the time to get to know all about my daughter and what was most important to her in finding her “home away from home.” I am forever grateful to Di for helping my daughter find the college that was best for her.
